From time to time it is required to start fresh with Dermal Filler if there is a build up from previous treatments. Dissolving treatment can also be performed if Dermal Filler placement is not optimal and patient would like to have removed. We do accept patients who have been treated at other cosmetic clinics and have undesirable results requiring reversal.
Topical numbing is applied to patient prior to treatment and our nurses do mix the dissolving agent with local anaesthetic to help reduce discomfort. Our dissolving agent is injected to any area unwanted filler is present. This treatment cannot be a targeted treatment meaning this treatment does spread and reverse any filler in the area so we cannot guarantee spot dissolving would be successful in these cases. Refilling of the area cannot be done for two weeks minimum post dissolving session. In some cases a second round of dissolving treatment maybe required depending on what product was previously used and amount of filler present in the area.
