Frequently asked questions

  • Where is Meridian Aesthetics located?
We have two convenient locations: Yarrabilba: Inside the Neighbourhood Centre at 14/280 Yarrabilba Drive. Mermaid Beach: Alongside Melissa Mayuge at 8/2375 Gold Coast Highway, Mermaid Beach.
  • Is the clinic private and does it have easy access parking?
Yes, both of our clinics are private, with convenient parking often available directly outside. Parking is free, and both locations are fully accessible, including wheelchair access.
  • Why do you take a deposit and what is the refund policy on deposits?
Deposits are important to us because we value both your time and ours. Our deposit system helps ensure that bookings are genuine and allows us to maximise availability for other patients seeking treatments. Deposits are refundable with at least 24 hours' notice prior to your booking. If we do not receive notification within this timeframe, the deposit will be non-refundable.
  • Can I request a nurse I would like to see?
Yes, absolutely! You can easily select your preferred nurse online and view their availability for the day.
  • What training have your nurses had?
All of our nurses hold a Bachelor of Nursing and are registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and NMBA (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia). They have completed further training to specialise in aesthetic treatments. Nurse Jess also holds a Diploma in Cosmetic Nursing. Our nurses are passionate about the aesthetic industry and stay up-to-date by regularly attending workshops, conferences, webinars, and other educational events throughout the year.
  • Do I need an appointment with a Doctor prior to cosmetic treatment?
Yes, for certain prescription-only cosmetic treatments, a consultation with a prescribing doctor is required before treatment can proceed. At Meridian Aesthetics, we work in collaboration with the doctors at Fresh Clinics to offer convenient, on-site Telehealth consultations as part of your appointment. This ensures we remain compliant with AHPRA and Queensland Health regulations while prioritising your safety and care.
  • Do you offer skin therapy or skincare at your clinics?
Yes, our Yarrabilba clinic offers a range of skin therapy services and stocks the Aspect Dr. skincare range. Our team of nurses are trained in skin analysis and provide personalised skincare consultations, medical-grade facials, skin needling, and tailored product recommendations.
  • Can I have personalised cosmetic treatments and targeted skin therapies if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
For your safety, we don't offer treatments to patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as there isn't enough clinical data to confirm their safety during this time. If you have any questions or would like more information on treatment options, please feel free to reach out to our team—we’re happy to help!
  • Can I bring children to the clinic?
Due to the nature of our treatments and the presence of sharps, we kindly ask that children are either accompanied by another adult to supervise them or are able to remain comfortably seated in the treatment room or secured in a pram throughout your appointment. Your safety—and theirs—is our priority.
